People often ask me what I do for my living, and when I tell them they almost always assume that it must be a very distressing job. But the reality is that I love my work. I have the privilege of seeing people make positive changes in their lives every day.

I get to witness brave men, women, teenagers and children confront difficult and painful problems or situations. Through this relationship I watch them grow and become more confident, develop a stronger sense of themselves and come to terms with significant loss.

I always feel excited and immensely privileged to be a part of that journey and applaud those who have the courage to look inward and realize how strong and resilient they truly are.
