This is how I built up my circle of friends. He also has two other Lamborghinis, and a Mercury Custom, a classic car he bought from rapper 50 Cent. But, as he's keen to stress, the Lamborghini life didn't come easy. A keen musician, Danny's first big break came when his teenage band, Jealous, was scouted by a record producer for Sony Japan and he was invited to move out to the Far East to go professional.

From the age of 15, he spent six years living in hotel rooms as he toured Japan with his band, sending almost all of his money back home to be saved up. When he left school - before completing his final exams - Danny remembers his headmaster saying that he'd never get anywhere in life.

But all the criticism spurred him on, and he spent every penny of his savings buying the room Pavilion Hotel in Paddington. Years of living in hotels had given Danny a sense of what guests were looking for, and soon Danny's music connections had helped to turn his guest house into a destination for A-list rock stars and models.

Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss were snapped hanging out there, and within a year he had made his first million, expanding his business by buying and renovating eight other nearby hotels. Naturally, he also owns several luxurious homes, including a Thameside apartment which Danny has dubbed "the shag pad".

The flat is sleek and spacious, with views over the river, and the walls are adorned with huge paintings he commissioned - each one showing one of Danny's ex-girlfriends. It wasn't anything grand but, you know, my father couldn't afford to give me a Lamborghini like I could for my son.

The self-confessed daydreamer left school aged 16 without any qualifications - thanks in part to a chance encounter with a Japanese music producer. Danny and his friends were singing in a London bar when they were scouted and invited to tour the Far East, with the intention of later marketing them back to a Western audience.

Danny Lambo, 37, posing with TV magician Dynamo, said 'Being a playboy is the opportunity to live out your childhood and adult fantasies'. He replied 'you're going to fail in life'.

Over the next four years, Danny toured girls' schools and other venues in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, living out of a suitcase and spending most of his time rehearsing and performing or living in hotels.

When the band finished, Danny was forced to turn to the one thing he did know after several years on the road. It was all I knew. My best mate would be the concierge and I'd be dating the chambermaids.

And, of course, where the rock stars go, the fashion models follow. The hotel later became known as The Pavilion Fashion Rock 'n' Roll Hotel due to its themed rooms and celebrity clientele. With the money coming in, Danny claims he was able to live a life most men in their 20s can only dream of - especially when it came to indulging his passion for fast cars and beautiful women.

I got it before I even had a place to live,' said Danny, whose longest relationship was two years long. They may be long height-wise but they're quite skinny the other way, so I can fit them in easily enough. Like many wealthy bachelors, Danny claims he often questions whether women are genuinely interested in him. With the money coming in, Mr Lambo was able to live a life most men in their 20s can only dream of. I got it before I even had a place to live," he said.

And even as his lifestyle reaches new heights of extravagance, he says his father, who is was born in the Soviet Union and his mother who is half Brazilian, half British, are still proud of him and believe he is a good person. He said: "They are proud of my achievements in life but would prefer it if I was bit more low key.

I think they'd rather black or grey Lambos instead of orange and purple. People will say, 'oh look, he's flash' but I know I've got a good heart and I share my happiness. He added: "I think the most important thing in life is to be happy, whether that's with money or without money. If I lost it all tomorrow I would find something else that makes me happy. If you've got the balls, nothing can stop you Danny Lambo.

But who is this supercar-loving playboy and how did he get so rich? The cash-flashing hotelier says he is part of a new generation of self-made millionaires ditching modesty in favour of flaunting their riches. The Croydon-born entrepreneur left school with "no qualifications" and was told by his headmaster he would make nothing of his life. We had a reasonable house. Today his three hotels and property empire allow him to live a luxury lifestyle jetting around the world, buying cars from rappers such as 50 Cent and treating his many female friends to the finer things in life.

If you've got the balls, nothing can stop you.
