Unfortunately, we have never experienced such awful customer service from someone in our lives, specifically the person assigned to our wedding, Whitney. Taylor who answers the phone was wonderful.
The supervisor that fixed the mess, wonderful. Whitney, awful. She made us feel that all she cared about was taking our money. While we needed to stay under a certain budget, she refused to work with us. She insisted that there was nothing she could do to decrease the price. She also refused to give us an itemized priced menu, so we had no idea where these prices were coming from. Once I finally decided to reach out to the supervisor, Whitney attempted to intercept our conversation by pleading that I discuss my issue with her specifically, which I politely refused and asked, again, to speak with her supervisor.
She rudely ended our phone call and forwarded my message. She was extremely polite and helped us understand how pricing works for them. So, thankfully, the supervisor knows how to deliver proper customer service. Additionally, Whitney met with myself and our other vendors at our final walk through.
This was extremely embarrassing. That was extremely disrespectful and out of line. She proceeded to aggressively tell our coordinator that our floor plan would not work because she would like our food stations to be served in specific areas, again, not her choice to make.
She was extremely aggressive in this meeting and made the comment about our budget at least 4 different times. That was the comment that bothered myself and the other vendors the most. Overall, if it were not for this one individual, we would love to recommend this caterer. The food was delicious and we were happy with what was served. However, Whitney completely ruined our experience with this company and made a huge, extremely stressful impact in the weeks leading up to our wedding day.
The only reason I'm giving Don Strange 4 stars instead of five, is because at times, it was a bit hard to get a hold of our point of contact.

We went with a pretty traditional Tex-Mex menu lots of out-of-town guests, and this sure gave them a great impression of our state.
We had people outside grilling avocado, mango and brie quesadillas, along with salsas, queso, chicken in poblano cream sauce, black beans, rice, vegetables, fresh tortillas, guacamole, etc. They are definitely one of the pricier catering options depending how many bells and whistles you get but they didn't disappoint. Don Strange Ranch of Texas was awesome! They had beautiful tables for the food and all the servers were very helpful and fun!
Words cannot express how amazing the food, service, drinks, and overall experience was with Don Strange. We looked at multiple venues a Once we visited with one of the event coordinators at The a Buckhorn, we knew that was the venue for us. The Don Strange team was extremely easy to work with; they were unbelievably organized, thorough, and detail oriented. It made for an absolutely unforgettable wedding reception.

It was through the venue but it was great! Since we had so many people travel from out of state and we thought it would be great to have them have real Texas BBQ, and it was the best decision we could have made! The service was also great!
One of the caterers brought food to my husband and I so we were able to take time to sit down and eat! We also used them for the alcohol for the wedding and that was also nice! We had margaritas added to the list since we were in Texas and out guests raved about them as well! Jillian was our go-to girl at Don Strange, and she did such a great job!

They are a current long horn ranch so for guests they provide feed and have everyone feed the Longhorns! Laura and Natalie were wonderful to work with, extremely helpful, attentive to detail and accommodating.
