Get a free blog at WordPress. Alicia Parlette. Bernadette Fay was a copy editor at the Chronicle with Alicia. On the night she was admitted to the ER, a doctor told Alicia Parlette what a brave lady she was. We are working on adding her SFGate blog posts as well as other unpublished writings for a reprinting; stay tuned for more details.
When we were in Italy we would indulge every day sometimes twice a day. While in Florence I followed her as she and her friends danced in the street, and danced down a flight of church steps. Firstly, I want to reassure everyone that this endeavor is not only blessed and but encouraged by the Parlettes, especially Alicia. She has wanted to get back to writing and sharing her life and story with the audience who had expressed so much interest and engagement with her Chronicle series for some time.
The response from the online community has been overwhelmingly positive — notes of love, friendship, inspiration, hope, joy, etc. There has just been an amazing outpouring of beautiful stories and comments shared on the Chronicle website and a flood of donations came pouring in this morning.
Thank you to every single person who has shared a note or story or made a donation. We are working to gather all the stories and posts we can and link to some of our favorites.
Please keep an eye on this page for more stories and information soon. You can read it here.
