What about the food? I know that this is what they were going for, but I think they overshot a bit. A big plus of the sandwich was surprisingly the ranch dressing. The fries were standard. As it was a southern-style sandwich, some cajun-dusted fries might have gone well with the sandwich.

Service was certainly the low point during my visit. My waitress was a bit rude — not very friendly, and made me feel like a nuisance for asking for things like a sampler of beers. Surely at a place that brews their own beer, this is not an odd request? Wait times were, in general, just a little longer than I would have liked. I was seated promptly, but between ordering a beer sampler, ordering my food, and receiving my food, I was left waiting longer than I should have been.

Last time was before the Pearl Jam show at Fenway a few years back. They did a good job of offering variety and making a decent introduction beer to styles that were new to most of their crowd.

Hell, they always had like 16 beers on tap, you surely could find something good. Usually the hidden gems were their lagers. Also enjoyed having a 7 am pint at Logan airport during my travels. I know what you all are thinking, but I was in Bostin in August and went to the Boston Beer Works, right across from Fenway, and they had a Watermelon Ale on tap that was unbelievable on a 90 degree day. Very light and crisp with just a hint of watermelon.

Any have a recipe for something like this?? I do a watermelon wheat that gets rave reviews from my friends. Click the link in my sig Dude has a watermelon wheat recipe here somewhere. It's quite good. Not too sweet is it? The ale I had, had just a hint. They actually served it up with a little watermelon slice on the slice. It's just a hint. In fact, most people that tried it at my house didn't know what it was until I told them.

It was one of the most popular beers I've ever made and I'll definitely be making it again this summer. Whenever there is a Watermelon Wheat at a brewers fest up here, it goes fast. What few recipes I've seen have been nothing more than a wheat with watermelon added late in the fermentation or in a secondary.
